I installed the lastest nVidia drivers this morning in hopes that would correct the issues. Installation is pretty straight forward. The problems began when it came time to run the game. The first screen that comes up is missing the text in the graphics that let you know which button to select to continue. I managed to guess correctly, but all of the text graphics are missing making it difficult to see how much time remains in your growing season, to select between watching or auto for the workers, etc. A visit to the support site found a forum with another member having the same problem. I had downloaded the latest patch, but it will not run saying unknown version.
Ok let's be honest, I like the game a lot. It's not as exciting as other games for sure but one of the things I will suggest for future players of the game is this - set your own goals out side of the game goals. I play free play a lot and have set goals like reaching a million dollars, or purchasing all the parcels of land free of debt.with that in mind it becomes a lot Ok let's be honest, I like the game a lot. There is no tutorial, and the scenarios are not listed in order of difficulty or any other discernable pattern. The first scenario happens to be one of hardest, but after you beat that one you should pretty much know the game. The scenarios get more and more pointless the more you master the game, as there are long periods of nothing to do and then short bursts of extreme activity. There are 3 speeds, but these are not sufficient to alleviate the switches between extreme boredom and stress for the player. The graphics are pretty so-so but get the job done, while the music gets on your nerves after awhile. Game play is so-so, but with all the bugs it seems limited.
